Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience began when she was 14 years old. Aspen Ladd was trained in BJJ, kickboxing, boxing, and wrestling prior to her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC aged 18. Ladd built on this victory and began a 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents inside the first round of all fights. After that, she went back to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen was already defeated Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking the fight to Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen by unanimous decision. This put a stain on her record as an amateur. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her record for amateurs to 8-1. Aspen turned professional in 2015, and was signed by Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta Fc 11 was her first fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the bout in the one round with a TKO. She won her next fight in the ring against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission and went up to the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16. Aspen utilized her formidable wrestler skills to knock down McGill and then ended the fight with a the third round TKO(elbows as well as punches). Aspen was then up against Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) as an "catchweight"(138.1lb), because Ladd failed to make the weight. Aspen, however, dominated Hoy through TKO. Ladd took home the unanimous decision after an intense back and forth battle with the fighters was awarded an award of Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her losing streak. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in UFC 7 ESPN 7's 3rd round, was defeated by Randamie. As a replacement She fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The decision was made unanimously against her.
