Anne Celeste Heche (born in 1939) was an American Actress who played a range of characters in films, TV as well as the stage. Her grandfather was an actor Gene Lockhart. Lockhart began her career at an early age. In T is for Tumbleweed, her first movie role was aged four. The film was a short one on the subject was nominated by the Academy Awards. Her mother took her to the studio where she learned about how the film industry worked. Lockhart has even appeared on numerous Lassie episodes. Her first movie is Dora in Jory in 1972. At age 18 she played one of the daughters Joan Crawford in 1972 television series The Sixth Sense. Joan was the last actress to appear in the show. There is a rumor that Anne refused to play Laurie Strode, the character in John Carpenter's 1978 horror movie Halloween. The character was cast with Jaime Lee Curtis. Carpenter has claimed that she was interested but she declined. Anne doesn't remember John Carpenter contacting her or suggesting the role. It's possible that an agent declined the role on her behalf without telling her. Glen Larson sent her an early draft of a script for an actor in the 1978 television show Battlestar Galactica. The character was weak enough to warrant her acceptance of the role. Glen invented a new role for her, with Sheba being a more formidable character. The Living Legend, the first twenty-five pages of which she read and was subsequently accepted. The show lasted only one season. The show also featured her with Desi Arnaz Jr. Melanie Griffith Robert Carradine, Desi Arnaz (son Desi Arnaz & Lucille ball) in Joyride in 1977. And she costarred with Michael Moriarty as The Dark Tower in 1987.
